All members of the professional staff of MHFA, LLC are also members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. MHFA, LLC requires all staff at the level of senior and above to have passed the Certified Public Accountants' exam.

Kim A. Martin, CPA - Tax Partner
Kim graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Kim is a founding partner of the firm, which has been in existence since September 1, 1982. He has been instrumental in the start-up of many businesses as well as merger and liquidation situations relative to a variety of clients. Kim has also worked with many clients with business consulting, tax planning, and estate planning needs. He is a past president of the Eastern Illinois Estate Planning Council, past president of the Board of Directors of the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club and past president of the Champaign Country Club. Kim is active in several community organizations, including his membership on the Board of the Champaign West Rotary and also his position as Chairman for the Planned Giving Committee of The United Way of Champaign County.

David W. Hood, CPA - Audit Partner
David graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois in 1980 and has been a partner in the firm since 1982. David serves clients in all industries with an emphasis on small business, nonprofit, and governmental fields. David has served as President of the Eastern Chapter of the Illinois CPA Society, PTA-Co-President, President of his Rotary Club Foundation, and President of the Board of Directors of the Champaign County YMCA. David is an active volunteer in the community and currently serves as the Chair of the Conference Council on Finance and Administration for the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Church.
