Mark Czys, CPA - Audit Partner
Mark graduated from Illinois State University in 1994 and has over 14 years of public accounting experience.  Prior to joining MHFA in 2006, Mark was with a large, national accounting firm for 12 years. Mark performs a variety of services and specializes in small business consulting as well as providing assurance services to construction and nonprofit industries.  Mark is active in several community organizations, including his membership in the Champaign-Urbana Kiwanis and the Board of Directors of the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club.  Mark is also a member of the CICPAC (Construction Industry CPA's/Consultants Association) and the Home Builders Association of East Central Illinois

Michael L. Friese, CPA - Retired Tax Partner
Mike obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. He has served on numerous committees of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He is a past president of the Eastern Chapter of the Illinois CPA Society. Mike has served as president of the Champaign Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Board of the C-U Mass Transit District as well as a board member of numerous civic organizations. Mike is now retired and no longer has day to day client or firm responsibilities. However, on an as needed basis, his 42 years of public accounting experience are available to clients and the firm in consultation with other associates of Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC.

Greg Douglas, CPA - Audit Manager
Greg is a 1988 graduate with honors from the University of Illinois. He worked in the corporate accounting department of a national mutual funds management company in Chicago for six years prior to working for the State of Illinois Geological Survey in Champaign as an accounting supervisor. Greg has been with MHF&A since October 1996. During his time with the firm, Greg has worked on audits of clients in government, not-for-profit organizations and small businesses.
