Helen Benner, MS, CPA - Audit Senior
Helen graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her Bachelors in Accountancy in May 2001 and her Masters of Science in Accounting Science in May 2002. She joined the firm in July 2002. Helen has worked in a variety of industries including not-for-profit, small businesses, and local governments with a specialization in federal Single Audit requirements. Helen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.

Douglas A. Canfield, CPA - Tax Supervisor
Doug graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois in January 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. He joined Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC in June of 2000. Doug provides tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society and Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for collegiate schools of business.

Meghan M. Drewes, CPA - Accounting Services Supervisor
Meghan graduated from the University of Illinois in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. She joined the audit team at Martin Hood Friese and Associates in July 2000 and has since served clients in many industries including governmental units, nonprofit organizations, small businesses, construction, and employee benefit plan audits. In March 2006 Meghan began serving clients in the Accounting Services Department. She founded Empty Arms Support Group and has served as treasurer of Safe Kids Champaign County. Meghan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
