Kim A. Martin, CPA - Tax Partner
Kim graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Kim is a founding partner of the firm, which has been in existence since September 1, 1982. He has been instrumental in the start-up of many businesses as well as merger and liquidation situations relative to a variety of clients. Kim has also worked with many clients on business consulting, tax planning, and estate planning needs. He is a past president of the Eastern Illinois Estate Planning Council, past president of the Board of Directors of the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club and past president of the Champaign Country Club. Kim is active in several community organizations. He is a member of the Board of the Champaign West Rotary and is Co-Chair for The United Way of Champaign County 2010 annual campaign.

James B. Eisenmenger, MS, CPA, CVA
Tax/Management Advisory Service Partner
Jim has over fifteen years of accounting and consulting experience, including thirteen years with Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC and two years in administration at the University of Illinois. Jim graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in May of 1992, with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Operations Research concentration) and obtained a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois in May of 1994. Jim performs a variety of services and specializes in tax planning and research, business forecasts, and business valuation. He is currently a member of the ILCPA Society Business Taxation Committe: has served as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Champaign County YMCA; has served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Illinois Food Bank; and has served on advisory committees to other governmental and nonprofit organizations.

Debra Hirschi, CPA - Tax Manager
Debbie graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky in December 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. She provides tax preparation and planning services to a wide variety of clients, both individuals and businesses. In addition, she works with many clients in their business consulting and estate planning needs. Debbie is a member of the Eastern Illinois Estate Planning Council, the Champaign West Rotary Club and serves on the Provena Covenant Foundation Planned Giving Committee.

Janice C. Olson, CPA - Tax Manager
Janice obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. She provides client services in tax planning and preparation, primarily for individuals, small businesses, trusts, and estates. She has volunteered in numerous local civic and education organizations.

Douglas A. Canfield, CPA - Tax Manager
Doug graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois in January 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. He joined Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC in June of 2000. Doug provides tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society and Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for collegiate schools of business.

Steve Heidbreder, CPA - Tax and MAS Supervisor
Steve graduated with honors from the University of Illinois where he made the Dean's list several times. He has 28 years of experience in public and private accounting. Steve's private experience was as a controller for a fast food franchise, a software distributor, and a steel fabricator/erector. Steve has served a number of different industries with an emphasis on computer and tax consulting for small business. He has been a QuickBooks Professional Advisor since 1998 and has now earned the status of Certified QuickBooks Professional Advisor. He also teaches an introductory course for QuickBooks for a local Community College. Steve has helped clients in varying industries evaluate, implement, and troubleshoot their accounting systems. He also provides tax planning and preparation for all types of clients, including individuals, trusts, businesses an estate. Steve is a past volunteer for St. Patrick's Church in their ministry to Carle Hospital. Steve is a member of Savoy Rotary and is their former Treasurer.
Mandy DeJarnette, CPA - Tax Supervisor
Mandy is a supervisor in the tax department at Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois in December 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. She was awarded Bronze Tablet for academic excellence. She received her Master of Science in Accountancy with Specialization in Taxation degree in December 2004. Since joining Martin, Hood, Friese and Associates, LLC in 2006, she has provided tax planning, research and preparation for individuals, trusts, estates, and businesses.

Amanda J. Alt, CPA - Tax Senior
Mandi is a senior in the tax department at Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in May 1998. Mandi received the Bronze Tablet award for excellence in academics at the University of Illinois and was recognized for scoring in the top 3% nationally on the May 1998 Certified Public Accountants Exam. Since joining the firm in 1998, Mandi has served clients in many industries, including non-profit organizations, governmental units, small business and individuals. Mandi volunteers her time for several organizations, including acting as the treasurer for the Mahomet Seymour Soccer club.

Robert Warth, CPA - Tax/Small Business Services Senior
Robert is a senior in the tax and small business services departments at Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC. Robert advises small businesses on developing and improving their accounting systems and provides tax planning and preparation with a focus on multi-state and real estate activities. Robert graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and joined the firm in 2006 after working almost a decade in the property management industry. Robert currently serves as treasurer for The Reading Group.
