MHF&A: Who We Serve

Martin, Hood, Friese & Associates, LLC serves many diverse not-for-profit organizations throughout Champaign-Urbana and the surrounding area. Our past and present clients serve this community by providing a support network for individuals and families struggling with mental illness, striving to improve the lives of our area's poor, and providing a safe environment for battered women. We provide audit and accounting services to these organizations and prepare reporting packages required by funding agencies. For some clients, we provide guidance on structuring activities to maximize the ratio of expenses eligible to be allocated to programs rather than administrative or fundraising. Our staff has extensive experience performing the specialized audits and preparing the required reports for entities which receive federal funding from such agencies as the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, Illinois Housing Development Authority, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
